Position Summary
The Application Technical Manager is responsible for defining and driving the technical architecture of Interlog’s Freight Audit & Payment platforms, ensuring their evolution, reliability, maintainability and alignment with business objectives. Working closely with the Product Owner, Business Analyst, Team Lead Developer and operational stakeholders, the role serves as the technical authority for all product development and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Technology Strategy
- Define and maintain the technology roadmap for all Freight Audit & Payment applications.
- Ensure consistency across the AS400, Atrium, Business Intelligence platforms and future technologies.
- Lead technical modernization initiatives with the development team based in India.
- Design scalable, sustainable solutions supporting business growth.
- Establish architecture standards, development guidelines and technical best practices.
Technical Leadership
- Serve as the technical reference for development teams.
- Mentor and support developers.
- Validate solution designs and key technical decisions.
- Promote technical excellence, code quality and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement of development methods and tools.
Product Development Support
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Assess technical feasibility, complexity and risks.
- Contribute to the prioritization of development initiatives and projects.
- Oversee APIs, data exchanges and interoperability.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Support the BI and reporting architecture.
Infrastructure & Security
- Oversee hosting and infrastructure requirements.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Monitor system performance, availability and resilience.
Vendor & External Partner Management
- Evaluate and manage technology vendors.
- Contribute to software selection and contractual discussions.
- Challenge vendors on technical decisions.
Required Experience
Mandatory
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in software development and solution architecture.
- Management experience.
- Fluent English.
Preferred
- Experience in Freight Audit, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of the AS400 / IBM i ecosystem.
- Business Intelligence experience.
